Summer Day Camp

The YMCA offers two different camps for youth ages 5-15.
Summer Day Camp for 2009 will operate from June 15th until
the first day of school.
       This year's theme is:
"swim. play. camp."
The YMCA also partners with  4-H, Scouts, and other
community agencies to incorporate a variety of programs into
the camp day.  Campers will have exclusive "campers only"
time on the new splash pad daily.

Camp Creation is for children ages 5-11.  Each week during
the summer features a theme, with a variety of activities to
challenge the mind, body, and spirit.  Crafts, games, arts, and
field trips are some of the activities that will keep your child
busy all summer.  Camp Creation is also broken down into
smaller groups by age:
Climbers (5-6), Hikers (7-8),
Mountaineers (9-11
).

Xtreme Teens is designed for Middle School students,
ages 12 - 15, and adds to the fun by making more
challenging field trips available.  Hiking, fishing, and
canoeing, are but a few of the activities that engage the
youth in Xtreme Teens.  Campers also design and participate
in assorted service projects to benefit other campers, and the
community.

Field Trips we have participated in the past include:
  1. Roll-A-Bout Skating Rink
  2. Movies at Cinemark and Sunset Theatre
  3. North Asheboro Pool
  4. Greensboro Children's Museum
  5. Bounce U
  6. Wet N' Wild
  7. Batting Cages
