| Youth Fitness Program Coordinator, Derrick Brown Ages 6-11 Monday-Thursday 4:00-7pm This youth fitness program provides youth with opportunities to participate in many forms of fun activities. We offer modern fitness programs for children that include Dance Dance Revolution, Bounce and Burn, and the Wii Nintendo Game System. We also offer more traditional activities as well that include Fun and Fit Games, Boot Camp, Circuit Training, Obstacle Courses, outdoor walks, gym time and free time on the playground. Every Monday from 6:00-7pm is Swim Time. We encourage healthy eating through nutrition lessons with the goal of building a foundation of life-long health and fitness. See for days and times. This program is a FREE service for members! Kids Tri at the Y Youth Triathlon (Swim, Bike, Run) A tri-athlon combines swimming, biking, and running in an exciting paced format that promotes fun, fitness, and self-confidence. The children's Tri and the Y race distances are age appropriate. All participants will receive t-shirts, swim caps and awards from completing the tri-athlon. The swim portion of the tri-athlon will take place in the YMCA pool. If needed, participants will be provided a flotation device and assistance in the lane. After completing the swim, the tri-athlete runs to his or her bike, put on their helmets and shoes, and ride the bike course. At the end of the bike course, the tri-athlete will run or walk the rest of the race. Then the tri-athlete will run or walk the rest of the race. When the tri-athlete reaches the finish line, he or she will receive their award! We are proud to say; twenty-two area businesses served as sponsors for this event.
