Youth Sports
Organized youth sports provide a valuable opportunity to
help our children build healthy spirits, minds and bodies.
Our programs center around participation, growth and incorporating
the values of respect, honesty, caring and responsibility.
Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, your child can find a
place on a YMCA team! A late fee of $10 will be applied if a registration
is accepted past the deadline.
Guidelines For YMCA Youth Sports
1. Everyone plays in every game.
2. Fair play and good sportsmanship will be emphasized.
3. Health, fitness, sports skills and lifetime attitudes will be promoted.
4. The family is asked to be involved in some capacity.
5. The "bottom line" is to have fun!
CCSC Soccer
The Central Carolina Soccer Club offers Fall and Spring
Soccer for 4 -18 year olds. Registration ends in August
for the Fall season and February for Spring. Cost is $50 for YMCA
members and $65 for the public. (CCSC is a member of NCYSA, North
Carolina Youth Soccer Association.) Contact the front desk for more
information.
Youth Basketball League (5-7 years) "Dribblers"
Introduction to basketball with emphasis on team play. Games will be
played on 8 foot goals.
Ages: K-2nd Grade
Registration: December 10, 2009-January 11, 2010
Season: January 21- February 27, 2010
Fee: $25/Members $45/Public
Coaches Meeting: January 14, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.

Introduction to team basketball. Games will be played on 9 foot goals.
Ages: 3rd - 5th Grade

Skills Evaluation: January 14, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.
Coaches' draft immediately following skills evaluation.

A recreational volleyball league for youth between the ages of 10-18.

Winter Indoor Co-Ed Soccer (4-11 Years)
This fast-paced, off the wall soccer game is played in the YMCA
gymnasium

Midnight Basketball (Presented by United Way)
All Players must be enrolled in Randolph County or Asheboro City
Schools and be 8 – 18 years of age to be eligible. Games are Tuesday
and Thursday nights.

Season: June 8-July 1, 2010
Fee: $10.00
Arena Flag Football (ages 5-7 and 8-11)
A fun and exciting new twist on football. Games are played in the gym
with flag belts. Games will be played on Saturday mornings.
